This amazing piece was produced in 1915, at the beginning of WWI. It depicts the Iron Chancellor, Prince Otto von Bismarck, defiantly declaring the courage of his beloved German people. The German inscription reads "Wir Deutsche Furchten Gott, Sonst Nichts Auf Der Welt" - "We Germans fear God, but nothing else in the world!" The Chancellor is depicted in the traditional spike helmet of Prussia surrounded by an oak wreath wrapped in the national colors. The ornate porcelain bowl is highlighted with gold leaf. It is 9 inches in diameter and 2.25 inches high. There are no cracks or chips in the porcelain and only very minor wear to the image of this one hundred year old treasure. I am currently listing two other similar pieces depicting the Kaiser and Hindenburg. Buy the set
