This is the latest style Portuguese army DPM smock, also used by commandos and airborne. This is a new, unissued smock. Tailored out of a high-quality lightweight ripstop fabric, the latest style smock closely follows the traditional Portuguese style, itself based on the French airborne smocks of the 50s and early 60s. This smock features four bellows pockets with snap closures, two zipped pockets behind the chest bellows pockets and the characteristic small open pocket superimposed on one of the chest pockets. A change from previous versions of this smock is the addition of a zippered pocket on the right side, for a total of two. Note that the small open pocket on this version is on the right side instead of the left. T is a zipper down the front covered by a buttoned flap. The collar remains traditionally in mandarin style. Also traditional are the quaint strap-and-buckle adjustment on the sleeve cuffs. A lot of attention to detail was given to the design and construction of this garment. This smock does not have the OGFE label, as it was made by a contractor for commercial sales to military personnel. This is one of the most comfortably designed battle smocks. The smock is labeled XL and measures approximately 44" across the chest, 31" down the back, and 24" from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff (these are traditionally read more
