This is a Portuguese bayonet from 1886. Originally fit the Kropatschek repeating rifle. In fantastic condition for the age. Some typical scratches and marks from handling but appears to have had very little actual use. The locking mechanism works fine. Nice wood grips. Steel scabbard included. 24" inches long overall with a 19" blade. The Steyr 1886 mark is very clear as shown in the picture below. A great piece for the bayonet or sword collector. NO RESERVE auction with a low starting price.
