This bank is made with a rare door made by Yale & Towne Manufacturing circa 1895. This attractive door is highly sought after by collectors. It is opened with a key and three working keys are included. This beautiful door features a flying eagle covering more than half the door. The eagle is holding arrows and olive branches in it's talons. This bank is made of walnut. It has great grain and is very attractive. It makes for a really eye catching bank that you will want to place in a location where it can be seen and appreciated. It would be ideal on desk where it can be viewed from all sides. The doors with a key. Two working keys are included. All of the doors I use in these banks had many years of service in a Post Office and are made of bronze. Many of them are over 100 years old. This one is over 115 years old. I've rebuilt them, cleaned off the grime and got the locks working smoothly. The beauty of the doors is revealed. They are true works of art nouveau. After cleaning the window I usually add box number decals that are actual Post Office old stock decals. This old glass may have some chips it but, unless I mention otherwise, these will not be visible from the outside. If you want a box with a specific number I can change the number on the door for an additional $10 charge. There is a three digit limit unless I use a small decal. read more
