WELCOME! Today I am selling a post WW2 Scottish cantle. This MK3 cantle is in a very good condition, brass. It was introduced into the kilted Highland regiments of Scotland in 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. All ranks wore the same, from private to colonel to even Prince Philip. The pouch or bag (sporran) was plain tan rough leather which the soldier would pipeclay white. They were worn by all the kilted regiments from 1953 to sometime in the 1970s .
