The town and lake have had several different spellings! Temiskaming (also: Temiscaming) is a town located at the south end of Lake Temiscamingue on the upper Ottawa River in western Quebec. In 1921, it was renamed and the mill was bought by the Canadian Paper Company in 1925. In 1972, the company closed the mill and employees formed Tembec to take over the mill's operation.
