Postcard of Sailing Ship “Killoran”, a 3 Masted Steel Barque built in 1900 by Ailsa Shipbuilding Co, Troon for Killoran Barque Co. In 1909 she was sold to J Hardie & Co, Glasgow, In 1924 she was sold to Gustaf Erikson, Marieham. In 1940 she encountered the German Merchant Cruiser “Widder” who sank her by placing explosives onboard. This Photo Postcard is in good condition, has not been used postally.
