This auction is for either a late prewar or early postwar Lionel 1662 steam switcher 0-4-0 locomotive with a 2203T slope back tender. This pair is in poor shape. I did test the loco on my layout and it does run, but poorly. It needs some work. There are plenty of paint chips and dings all over as shown. The side rods on one side are incomplete as shown. It's got a die cast metal boiler for heft, three position e-unit, lighted headlight, and front coupler. I'm not sure how the front coupler should work, as there's no pick up shoe anywhere to operate the coil. Because of the T after the number, I'm not sure if this tender ever came with these from the factory. The tender also has obvious cosmetic issues. It also has a die cast metal body shell for some real heft. The railing is broken off and missing, and there is some surface rust spots here and there. The tender comes with one staple truck, and one bar end truck, so I suspect parts were changed on this at some point. The original tender draw bar is missing. I ordered a read more
