Powerful C19th Druids Egg Talisman French Witch CollectionThis stunning talisman was part of a collection of artifacts and occult tools that were amassed by many generations of a family of French Celtic Druidic witches. Please see below item description for further details.The piece first came into the family's possession in the the late nineteenth century after it given to Muriel's grandfather as a gift by a local stone mason , Sebastian ( Muriel's grandfather) then hand etched the egg and empowered the eggThe family then utilized the artifact in countless rites , ceremonies and workings both for themselves and their clients .The piece was originally crafted from a stunningly grained locally occurring light green and cream agate it was then profusely hand etched with spirals of life, flowing scrolls and geometric designs in one of the traditionally believed forms of the " Druids Egg"When the piece was not being used for workings , rites etc it was frequently lent to clients to carry to aid them in their times of need . The symbolism to the piece is fascinating both from the material it was crafted from to it's decoration . Agate as a stone has been revered by the faith for centuries and was believed to have the ability to allow the user to have a powerful connection with the gods and goddesses themselves , it was also believed to be a great displacer of negativity and negative emotions, it was believed to bring insight , it was also believed to have the ability to draw out poisons if placed on a person or animal , ensure good crops and interestingly also in this area it was believed have the ability to protect and prevent misfortune occurring to the miners that worked . The" Druids Egg " itself is possibly one of most important and potent symbols/ artifacts it is believed to be produced by huge coils of serpents and anyone who manages to release the egg from their clutches when it is tossed into the air by them and catches it in a cloak before it touches the floor is then granted almost unlimited powers and abilities only if they can escape the wrath of the slithery beasties who are understandably unimpressed with losing it and will pursue the person across the landscape . The ancient romans believed that a druid's egg had so much power that they banned any person on pain of arrest from carrying one to any court or public meeting ! In this area the ancient druids eggs that have been found were crafted from ,wood , glass , stone and glazed pottery . So when the importance of the wood and it's source and history are taken into consideration , let alone the piece as whole it is little surprise that the family prized the object so highly !The egg is in wonderful condition with a wonderful smoothly polished surface , wonderful signs of age and use darkening from handling etc and with it measuring just over 2 inches in length by just under 1 and a 1/2 inches across it's widest point This is a Must for Any Lover of All Things Esoteric !!This Incredible piece of Witchcraft History was part of a collection of artifacts and occult tools that had been put together by many generations of a family of French witches .
