A lovely matching pair of 1946 Gorham sterling silver oval shaped serving bowls highlighted by raised gadrooned outer edges. Each of the bowls measures 10 3/4 x 7 5/8 inches and deepens 1 1/2 inches. They are heavy and weigh 13.3 ounces each on a postal scale. Their condition is excellent with absolutely no dings or dents. The silver retains great brilliance and shows only modest surface wear. One of the bowls shows some very light stains in the base that would come out with cleaning. The undersides are stamped 'Gorham,sterling' along with the Gorham makers mark and the datemark(6 in a rectangle) for 1946. T are no monograms. Nice pair that would be an easy fit at any table.
