The Katana is extremely light weight with a perfect balance. The blade comes full tang and unsharpened. This sword is perfect for practice of Iaito. Attributes of the Weapon: Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from Aluminum Alloy. An aesthetic hamon runs down the edge of the blade and a Bo-Hi rests at the top of the blade. The blade comes full tang, unsharpened with a rounded off edge. The balance of blade is perfect. Saya: The Saya is constructed from wood with a high gloss black lacquer finish. A black cotton cord Sage-o has been wrapped around the wooden Kurigata. Guard: The Habaki is a one piece brass construction. The guard is a cut out design constructed from brass. Tsuka: The Fuchi is bright brass. The Tsuka core is wooden with an imitation Ray Skin wrap. A single Bamboo Mekugi secures the tang of the sword into the handle.
