I have up for sale a nice vintage New York Knife Co. folding 2 blade pocket knife. The knife is fully guaranteed as an original - not a repro.The New York Knife Co. went out of business in 1931 - so the knife dates prior to that time. It has the number 2790 stamped on the tang of what ever area you call it. The main blade with the pointy end is stamped "Hammer Brand" and the other "New York Knife Co. Walden". I am surely not an expert when it comes to knives but I will try to describe the knife the best that I can and I have provided alot of pics to do some speaking for me. I believe that the handle is made of either stag or bone -it has a nice warm patina on it and it's in superb condition - no breaks,cracks,splits,repairs,etc. The blades look to be in excellent shape as well - they dont look like they have ever been sharpened in my opinion. They are tight and do not have any wiggle. The blade with the more rounded tip snaps & closes very nicely but the blade with the pointy tip does not have much of any snap to it and must be pushed to close.As for the size you - I have several pics with the knife opened and closed next to a ruler.
