Pre-historic Tan Quartzite PROJECTILE POINT, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta (A-74) Description Pre-historic Tan Quartzite PROJECTILE POINT, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta (A-74) For your consideration is a pre-historic tan quartzite projectile point, which was a surface find. The site name is Albert (A) and the Borden number is FjPh-402-A-74. This was in the area close to Fort Saskatchewan on the west side of highway 21 on the way to Fort Saskatchewan. I have been to this site many times over the past few decades, going with my dad on the weekends and was able to find a few pieces/artifacts myself. Note that this site is also known as the Van Hecke site (it was Mr. Van Hecke's property). A-74. Tan Quartzite Projectile Point . This was found/collected by my dad on August 3, 1969. Size: 45.39 mm long x 22.68 mm across at its widest point x 6.24 mm thick. From my dad's collection of pre-historic artifacts.
