You'll be the envy of your collector friends when you show them this 1902 US Military Bayonet and scabbard original and complete with belt clip! This particular item has been family memoribilia for nearly 100 years and family fokelore credits it with action in the Spanish-American war near the end of the 19th century and WW1 in the trenches of France. This Springfield Armory made M-1892 is in very nice condition, retaining its original unsharpened edge. It was used with a Krag rifle, manufactured from 1892 to 1898. The 11 1/2" blade is bright-finished with the left ricasso marked with the date,"1902," and the right ricasso marked US with no nicks, rust and a miniscule amount of pitting. T is a small amount of dried grease which can probably be cleaned. The grips appear to be walnut and are rivited with 2 rivets. The bayonet is complete with belt clip and scabbard, total length 18". The scabbard has a couple of very faint "dings," which are hardly noticeable. The lock lug mechanism works perfectly.
