This uniquely shaped piece, of the Salado variety was made C.A. 1200-1350 A.D. is 5 1/4" long by 2 1/2" tall. It has a buff color exterior with a shiney black smudge interior. It has been reglued and t are a few small pieces missing from the rim and bottom. T has been no restoration or paint enhancement. The unusual shape of the piece is rare, it could have been used as a hand held cup or as a scoop or it may have even been a shell effigy. (you decide).
