This auction is for one (1) set of HO scale plastic pre-painted figures as shown in the photos. Please select "supersized" images for better detail. This is Preiser "Special Production" #00268 "Feuerwehrkapelle" (Fire Dept. Band) with 51 hand-painted figures that are unused inside the original package in excellent condition. This is in a special presentation box that states that production was limited to 1000 pieces, and on the back of the box it is stamped with production #735. This package has never been opened but the black stickers (labels) applied to the side and rear of the box have curled up a bit due to age. These figures are highly detailed and nicely painted and would be useful for any scene on a layout or diorama. It is difficult to get good quality photos through the plastic lid and I could not find any published photos of these figures (I suspect that this set is from the late 1980's). The many marching figures could be used to create an interesting parade scene. I could not find this set listed in old Walthers catalogs so I am not sure if many were imported to the USA (most of the text on the box is in German). Low opening bid and no reserve so this is a great chance to get this long out of production set for your layout or collection.
