This attractive Barber dime from the 1900 Philadelphia mintage is a really premium example. Its MS64 designation is a modest one, as I personally believe this fantastic coin is deserving of a higher grade. The strike is excellent, with detail not usually seen in Barber dimes below the MS65 mark. The fields are smooth and unperturbed. An unusual amount of original luster graces the coin with some subtle green and purple colored undertones that amplify the gorgeous design with an opalescent effect.While 1900 saw an original mintage of 1,760,0000 Barber dimes, only a small fraction can be accounted for today.
