Prewar Hawthorne Zep / Comet / Rollfast Rat Rod Ballooner Cruiser Frame This is a Vintage Prewar H.P. Snyder / Rollfast made Hawthorne Zep or Comet Ballooner Frame. This Frame was used on Hawthorne Zep and Comets from 1936 to 1938 and also was also used on Rollfast Bikes and other and other brand Badged H.P. Snyder / Rollfast Bikes. This Frame is a 26" ballooner wheel full size prewar men's frame and has a layed back feel and has cool oversized rear stays. Rat Rod Frame with Cool Patina, has rust, and has dents. The frame has a hole on the inside of the rear stay, (circled in the photo ) and drop outs are flaired. Ok Frame is good for a Rat Rod Cruiser Build. Not good a Full Restoration. Some life left in this old Steel. These Frames have a weak point where middle bar intersects the seat tube, I usually weld this point for more strength, you may want to also. Cool Early H P Snyder / Rollfast Frame, keep in mind that Rollfast Frames and Huffman take headset cups that are slightly larger than Schwinn and Newer Cruiser Headsets, sometimes making it tricky to hook up, Please Refrain from asking for Parts for this bike as I don't have any.
