Prewar Lionel Box for Outfit 139 "O" Gauge, 13" x 13" x 5 1/2". Excellent Graphic with some minor surface scratches and very small areas where the printing has been scratched - overall effect of printing is very good on both the cover of the box as well as the side. Small sticker print removal on the side under "O" Gauge. The lid is structurally intact on three corners, but is separated on one. The separation is fairly clean and can be remedied. The model on the box is 294T ('t' for top). The bottom of the box is a 294B ('b' for bottom) and is excellent condition. There is some wear to the edges near the corners. The top and bottom of the box are matched, even though Lionel shipped the box with outfit 139 stamping. As such, the combination is original and the discrepancy in numbers is according to factory issue. The excellent structure, the matched top and bottom and the nearly mint graphics make this a compelling piece!
