This is a 30s Prewar Roadmaster (Cleveland Welding) boys bicycle. I think it is a 1936 based on pictures of one like it I found on the web. 26 x 2.125 Balloon Tires. It has a working original front drum brake with good original cable and lever. These brakes are hard to find. It is really rare to find a good original cable and lever. The brake works well. The bicycle is pretty much original. The 2 pedals are different so I believe one has been replaced. It looks like the reflector is not original. The tires are probably not original. Everything else is original. It has a great original Messinger Deluxe long spring seat on it. The seat has some cracks in the leather but is actually pretty nice. You can still read the messinger stamp in the leather. It says Messinger Deluxe No.155??. I can't quite read the last letters. The paint is original black cream and red. It has been touched up at some time. Not a professional job. The fenders are very good. They are the ridged original Roadmaster type, solid, not rusted with good braces. You don't often see fenders this nice. A very solid drop stand. It actually holds the bicycle well. It is the best drop stand and clip I have come across. Morrow coaster brake rear hub Skip tooth chain Rear facing drop outs Good original paisley chain ring and straight crank Solid chain guard Truss Rods Great read more
