Hello t and welcome..... I am offering, in this auction, a sweet quilt heart door greeter that has been hand made by me. This door greeter would look wonderful hanging on a prim cupboard door or by the peg on a wood shelf. It would even look great hanging on an old bedpost! The heart is made out of a red and white piece of an old vintage quilt. The heart measures about 10-1/2" by 10-1/2" and has been stuffed very firmly. I have attached a grosgrain ribbon for the hanger which is sewn into the seam at the top of the heart. I then hand stitched a "pocket" to the front of the heart made out of a vintage handkerchief. The handkerchief has sweet lace at the bottom and stitched flowers on the front. When the sewing was completed on the heart, I sponged it with a coffee/vanilla mixture and it has dried to a perfectly prim appearance. Inside of the pocket, I have tucked sprigs of Sweet Annie, faux cranberry colored berry stems and a vintage postcard. I have also placed moss around all of these items in the top of the pocket. The postcard has a very sweet picture of bluebirds on the front and a handwritten message on the back. These items can easily be removed if you wish to place your own "keepsakes" inside of the pocket. I then pinned a rusty heart and bell to the front of the pocket.
