We have a wonderful, antique wooden candy mold up for bids without reserve. It's a small plank with 5 round-shaped carvings that were used to make fancy-looking treats long ago. Each has a different pattern and were carved by hand. This mold has an old, original patina that has not been refinished, it's just as we found it. Although there's still some dust, you can see the complex yet folksy patterns in our photos that were chipped and chiseled in this piece. Each end has a piece of metal nailed on so the molds cold be stacked during use without ruining the candies being made. We believe it was used to make maple sugar candies but it may also have been used to make fancy chocolates as well. As for dimensions, this mold measures 12" L, 2 3/8" W, and 1" thick. Old and authentic, this candy mold would look great on display in your kitchen! Winning bidder adds postage.
