1897 HOUSE Primitives This Santa is REALLY NEAT! Dressed in a long coat made from a vintage cream(dirty white) wool blanket, Santa measures 36 inches long from his hood to his wool boots. His fur is a shade or two darker than than his coat. Other details.... His face... was made from coffee and vanilla stained osnaburg muslin. He has a pinched hand stitched nose and painted eyes. His beard is wool. His hands.. are stained osnaburg muslin and his boots are the same material as his coat with floss ties. Santa carries a WONDERFULLY PRIM stocking that was cut from a vintage blanket that I coffee and vanilla stained and dusted with snow glitter. I have attached three pieces of stained burlap with the word JOY handstitched to the three pieces. The stocking is filled with dried sweet annie and rosehips. T is a wax dipped grungy star danging towards the top of the stocking. The stocking measures approx 16 inches long including the sweet annie and rose hips.T is a rusty bell attached with rusty wire on the foot of the stocking.The stocking is attached to Santas hand with a rusty safety pin and a wire hook on the stocking. It can be removed if you wish. In Santa's other hand he carries two large wax dipped grungy stars that have been attached with a rusty safty pin to his hand. They can be removed as well if you wish.
