~*~*~ Light the Way Santa~*~*~ Merry Christmas once again!!! I have just finished this wonderful large santa handmade by me "Dollgiver" Approx. 27 inches long made from aged osnaburg fabric, polyfil and rag stuffed. Santa has a simple face, pinch stitched nose and handpainted blue eyes. Tiny featherstitching in linen thread are stitched for his eyebrows. Sheeps wool is needle felted in place for his beard and hair. A beautiful soft rose wool blanket was used to make this wonderful coat and hat. Featherstitching is stitched up the front of coat aside the large buttons and again on the brim of his hat. The bindings on the coat although aged with time were kept on for the great trims on hemline of coat and sleeve.... adds a vintage old touch. Santa holds a small antique glass and brass oil lamp I bought at one of my favorite antique stores in town. The other hand has two old baby socks attached to his hand. A small key with a wired ribbon is worn over his heart. Santa comes signed and dated from my smoke free home. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!!!
