This 16 inch Raggedy Ann is made from quilt store quality muslin. She has been firmly stuffed. Her body and all of her clothes have been stained and sanded for an old worn out look. Her dress, pantaloons, and pillow backing are all made out of a black, tan, and cream cotton fabric. Her underskirt, pocket, and hair bows are all made from a black with tan polka dot cotton fabric. On her stained osnaburg apron, I have cross stitched a small black cat. Her 5 x 3 inch pillow was made using a Primitive bettys pattern. I have needle punched this pillow using 3 strand hand dyed Valdani thread. I have lightly stained her pillow. It is firmly stuffed with clean sawdust. I have stitched a small tan button to her bodice. Her face is stitched on with embroidery thread. Her face has been lightly shaded. She is a round head Annie. I have stitched her raggedy red wool yarn hair just to the top of her head. Her cheeks and the stripes on her legs have been dry brushed on with rusty red paint. This Annie has been hand made by me, Jenny Mayo. I have signed and dated her back. She comes from a smoke free home. She is intended for decorative use only.
