This is a sale of 37 or 38 authentic primitive barn wood boards, in varying lenghts from 3 feet to 7 1/2 feet. It is the vertical barnwood and is taken from part of the old barn that was on our farm in Iowa. The barn was in 1915 when my grandfather bought this farm, and they know that it was built during the 1800's sometime. It was the part of the barn w they milked the cows. By the way, the kitten doesn't go with the sale of the wood! :-) That part of the barn got to be leaning so bad that my husband had to tear it down. We have actually used some of the wood ourselves in our family room in the basement. I show that in picture #4. We used it on two of the walls down t, and have gotten so many compliments on it. It turned out really well. We used the boards and the batting strips that go over the cracks between the boards, and then the paint store told us not to use varnish on it, but sold a sealer to us so that it would keep its authentic look. I had thought of selling it all in one bunch, but some are long; some are shorter, and then t is the batting strips, so I'm selling it in three groups. My reasoning was that I thought some might want just the longer boards; some perhaps would like a half wall and want the shorter boards, or else want the boards for some craft work.
