Wonderful old wood box originally used for "6 Cakes, Useful, Toilet Soap, Manufactured by Charles S. Higgins, 91 Worth Street, New York." It measures 6 3/4" long, 3 1/2" wide, and 2 1/2" high. I would estimate its age to be about 100 years. The box needs some TLC. The latch is intact and works fine. Both hinges are with the box and functional but the right rear corner of the lid split away so that hinge is attached to the bottom only. T are a couple slivers missing from bottom corners and someone did a few clumsy nail repairs. T is slight water damage to the right side of the lid graphics. Basically this little box is quite interesting and nice. Please email any questions and thank you for viewing.
