PRINCE GEORGE & PRINCESS MARINA, DUKE & DUCHESS OF KENT DIARIES A very scarce and interesting lot that consists of four diaries of Margaret Nye who was nurse/nanny to the children of the Duke & Duchess of Kent in the 1930’s. Margaret Nye was actually in their employment for the first two children; Edward & Alexandra. These diaries make a very interesting read of day to day life in the Royal household looking after the children, followed by photographers even in those days. The Duke & Duchess had two residences; Belgrave Square and The Coppins. Diaries tell of interesting walks around Buckingham Palace, chats with the King & Queen etc. There are also a couple of endearing thank you notes/sketches from the children and Margaret Nye’s reference letter. One of the diaries has wonderful anecdotes/stories of the children. The Duke of Kent had a rather colourful life and died in a plane crash at the young age of 40.
