This highly polished black and gold glazed goblet commemorates the wedding of the Prince of Wales & Lady Diana Spencer. Condition is 'almost as new' (it has been in a glass display cabinet 20 years), there is just a small scratch in the gold gilt on the stem. Genuine original Prinknash with authentic stamp mark on base. It is about 5 inches tall. The Benedictine Monks, who founded the Abbey, at Prinknash, Gloucestershire in 1942, on finding a bed of clay, when building their new Abbey, used the clay to make and sell pottery up to 1997, at which point the pottery was sold to the Welsh Pottery Co and was subsequently closed down. Prinknash pottery is probably more often known for its "pewter" glaze. However, the commemorative items that were produced reflect the history of the pottery and the associated commemorative event. Preferred payment method is PayPal, but Postal Orders are also accepted. I've two other similar listings - appropriate postage adjustment for multiple purchases.
