NO RESERVE>>>>>>>Betty Ring's first book on her pioneer research in the field of American schoolgirl samplers is out of print and very rare to find indeed.....this one (from my personal library) even more so because it is in excellent,very crisp condition which is impossible to find; a first edition printed almost 30 years ago. It features, from Betty Ring's personal collection, over 100 pages filled with large color and black and white plates of some of the rarest, most important samplers ever documented (one recently sold at Sotheby's for over $1,000,000!). All of these spectacular photos are accompanied by her original research and study. (pic 1 is the front cover,pic 2 is the back cover, pic 3 features a rare Tennessee (sold $10,000) and rarer Morgantown Virginia sampler which sold for over $31,000..( I sold one long ago on ebay, and presently have the earliest known example from this Morgantown, Virginia group).
