This crystal has a couple of trade names such as Moon Quartz, Pearl Quartz, and Blue Opal Quartz. The translucent pearl-like appearance is caused by the Aluminum content in clear Quartz which often has a slight bluish tinge. This is a good quality piece with a shiny and smooth finish and very attractive bluish translucence.
