Gypsy Bob Harper was a prisoner at Marquette Prison in Michigan. He was convicted of murder and later broke out of prison in mid1921, he was caught shortly after and returned to the prison. During a riot he was believed to have been the ring leader in and killed the warden, Theodore Burr Catlin and three others. It is unknown when he made this board. Three of the original Four pegs are still with the board.
