This is an item relating to The Prisoner TV series, which starred Patrick McGoohan as Number Six and filmed in Portmeirion. In 1966 the series art Director Jack Shampan designed a Christmas card, most of whuch were duly signed by McGoohan and sent to cast/crew members etc. Jack held back a number of unsigned cards, and this is one of those ORIGINAL (IE this is not one the latter day reproductions which have been produced) cards from 1966. This item has been donated for sale by Mr Ian Rakoff, who worked on the original series back in 1967 as an editor and devised the episode "Living in Harmony". Ian has kindly donated some items from his own collection of memorabilia, with profits donated to good causes including The Unmutual Website's event fund in aid of Ty Gobaith Children's Hospice in Conwy.
