's a Pristine Family Era Sasieni w/Great Graining and in a highly desirable classic shape. Has some beautiful birdseye on bowl. It's in Sasieni's classic"Friar" line. Sasieni Friar's date to pre-WW2 and were all beautifully created/carved. If dotted this would have been a "Victoria" which was Sasieni's largest Dublin shape. All Family Sasien's were perfect pipes that were literally coaxed out of the living wood by master craftsmen,whose skills reflected their heritage from generations of pipe-making ancestors. All Family Sasieni's received meticulous care in their manufacture. They also went through a special cabonising process which not only removed any trace of sap or oil from the root,but also made it smoke sweet and mellow from the first bowl. Pipe sits solidly on its own. Pipe has been barely smoked as can seen at the bottom w the draft opening/hole hasn't even been charred over. Nice thick walls. Pipe hangs/feels great in mouth as well. Made w/great old Sasieni briar no longer available. Nice sized bowl to allow you to sit and puff for some extended contemplation. Pipe has Sasieni Feiar's "F" Diamond logo on stem. Pipe has been part of my extensive Sasieni collection for numerous years.
