You are bidding on a turn of the century black mantle clock. The condition is one of the best I have come across. Encased in wood, painted black, with marbelized columns. Approx measurements H 11''x W 7 1/2'' xL 17''. The finish is so flawlwess I have to assume it has been re painted at one point. The finish is mat or flat. The back openning is a round metal sliding plate openning to a nice clean movement. I found no markings to indicate maker, a jewler indicated it is most likely a precision German movement, (he indicated he was 90% certain). The movement is clean, excellent working order, single chime on half hour and variable chiming (depending on what time it is) on the hour. The glass face is flat without chips or cracks, NO hairline cracks on dial and no fading on the numbers. The key looks to be modern, as all others I've come across were brass. Due to age we can not gurantee running condition. A nice addition to that selective collector. NO RESERVE
