This is a U.S. Treasury Department Bureau of Prohibition book full of used and some new, unused, prescriptions for medicinal liquor. During prohibition there was a provision that alcohol could be purchased with a prescription from a doctor. This booklet says on the cover it was issued under the National Prohibition Act and has an individual serial number. There are about 90 stubs of the prescriptions, each completed in ink by the doctor with the name and address of the person prescribed, as well as the item and the reason for the prescription- like Whiskey, Influenza. The prescription stubs are all dated between August, 1931 and May, 1935. There are 6 blank complete prescription forms - 3 original white front copies and 3 duplicate pink copies. Very cool item in great condition. Excellent for the collector of prohibition, vintage old treasury department of justice agent quack medical pharmacy items.
