PLEASE NOTE: Because some of the axle gears are probably split (common problem on early runs of GP-7's, 9's, 20's & 30's) I will include a new set of Athearn axle gears with this locomotive. These are better than the Proto gears and drop right in. LIFE-LIKE PROTO 2000 HO item #23623. EMD GP-9 Phase II locomotive w/Dynamic Brakes, factory painted and lettered for UNION PACIFIC #284 (see Photos). Locomotive features a 5-pole 'high efficiency' motor w/Dual machined Brass Flywheels with skew-wound armature, 8 wheel drive and electrical pickup, Separately applied Grabirons & Handrails, See-through Fans, DCC Ready (non-Sound version).
