This Auction: Fairly rare ECW model of the Pennsy's heavy duty F38 flat car. I know, I know...it's a plastic kit, NOT BRASS. Ebay does not have a ECW manufacturer category, so I figured that brass imports was the best exposure for this model. ECW, by all accounts, seems to be out of business. No one I've talked to knows anything or has heard from them in two or three years. They just dropped off the face of the planet! If you're lucky, on a really good day, you might manage to find a brass Rail Classics model of the F38 under $300. The ECW kit never came with trucks; you'll need to supply them. The correct truck is a Buckeye 6 wheel type. These can be found at a couple different places from time to time, ebay being among them. This car was originally purchased for $50 plus tax and will not be given away. I'd prefer to sell it and use the money for other things, but if the reserve is not met, it will simply go back on the 'to-be-built' pile. This is an UNASSEMBLED KIT and is 'as-new' from me, the original owner. OOPS ! Thanks to an alert person, it has come to my attention that the kit DOES HAVE TRUCKS ! T are also metal wheels sets, which is defintiely going to be good for weight.
