5" X 3 1/4" is this rare yellowware pint fruit jar. Impressed on the base: "ROBERT ARTHUR'S / PATENT / 2nd JANUARY 1855 / ARTHUR, BURNAM / & GILROY / PHILADELPHIA". Viewer can see several very old base edge chips.....3 shallow chips on the lip. No cracks and jar very solidly built. The first photo is the best the jar could look....most likely the way you would display it. Believe the jar is not known in the pint size. From a 40 year collection of assorted stoneware, redware and yellowware. I cover for loss or damage on an immediate basis. Low opening bid as usual. Thanks for looking.By the way, the jar fits perfectly flat with no wobbling.
