This auction includes a rare Pullman railroad heavyweight weighted ash tray that would have been used on Pullman lounge cars. This rare classic, is certainly worthy of attention, as it has a beautiful brass base with the words "pullman" cast in the bottom, and has an ash tray at the top. Item is 20 1/2" in height from the bottom to the top of the ash tray portion. Base is 10" wide .Item is in good condition, shows years of Pullman service. Has a few tiny tiny holes in the bottom of the ash tray part, overall item just requires a very good polishing and likely will be quite stunning. This style ash tray was used in the 1920 heavyweight lounge cars, and likely could have been seen next to a large parlor chair.It likely was on railroad cars owned by Pullman, and operated over railroads such as the Milwaukee Road, Northern Pacific, Southern Pacific, Pennsylvania, Burlington, Illinois Central, Norfolk and Western, L&N, Wabash , Florida East Coast, Atlantic Coast Line, Missouri Pacific, Rio Grande, Union Pacific just to name a few.Check or money orders only , paypal is not accepted.
