Punjab Medal with Mooltan & Goojerat clasps correctly impressed (albeit with a spelling mistake!) to "WM LINFIELD, 32ND FOOT." William Lindfield was born in Shipley, near Horsham in Sussex in 1814. He joined the 32nd Foot in Nottingham on 1 March 1832 and served for 22 years and 154 days, reaching the rank of Sergeant by 1842, but was then busted and eventually discharged in 1854 as medically unfit due to "indulgence in the use of intoxicating liquor"! This medal comes with 8 pages of service records and a copy of the relevant medal rolls and a handwritten summary of his career. A lovely medal in good condition to a long-serving soldier, one of several out of my collection that I am selling (unfortunately) to help pay the bills, so please see my other items. Please let me know if you have any questions or need more photos.
