These two cushions are made from very delicate antique silk satin in PURPLE. If you are planning a wedding this spring these cushions are ideal for the happy couple to kneel on. The companion cushion listed separately would make a lovely ring cushion. They are truly a bargain. I would not say so if they were not. As a wedding keepsake they are ideal. They will together with the other cushion make a permanent record of marriage and if they are treated properly and not used as scatter cushions, they could become a family heirloom, used by subsequent family brides. The fabric is rare and cannot be reproduced. Nor can any more cushions be made because I could only rescue enough silk for these. I started the price at a very low level. They are worth far more if bought from an Antique shop. I am not in business. I made these myself from antique fabric. This is the only opportunity to acquire something that can become your heirloom. I am not sure of the age of the silk, but I believe it to be more Victorian than Edwardian. This silk and the trimming - pure silk antique woven ribbon braid and antique silk fringe - was previously used in an Ecclesiastic setting.
