This is a Set of Four Quaint Vintage French Blue and White Enamel on Metal House Numbers. The information I received when I purchased them was that the seller purchased them in France where they were made and that they were house numbers, circa 1930s. I do not have any independent verification of this information. The numbers are high quality genuine vitreous enamel on very heavy steel and they are enamel on the backs as well. The background is a beautiful shade of blue with crisp white letters. It may appear to you on the photo that there is a slight variation in the shades of white in the letters on the left. I examined them closely and this seems just to be a photo flash effect. The colors are uniform and we will guarantee your satisfaction in that regard. Each letter is 4" x 5 7/8". Each has a 3/16" diameter hole at both the top and the bottom for mounting. The fact that these are four separate numbers is a plus for anyone wanting to use them for their original purpose and who has a house number that can be formed from any combination of one, two, three, or all four numbers. However, they are offered as a lot only and we are not willing to sell any of them individually or in smaller groups.
