Fine Quality Birds of Prey Richard Budd Plate Here we present for auction a very fine hand painted plate by the celebrated ex-Royal Worcester artist Richard Budd. The plate is painted in lovely pastel tones with the blues, greens and purples of the background complimenting the almost monochrome sparrowhawk and kestrel. Only the orange of the eyes and claws hint at the birds ferocity. The plate is very well executed with fine detail and painted by the free flowing hand of a mature painter. This really is a fabulous plate signed R.Budd bottom left with an ornate 22ct. gold border.Works of art by Budd are increasingly desirbale since his recent death and this plate would make a fine addition to any collection of this artist or quality twentieth century English porcelain.
