Quartz Crystal Cluster with Drusy Quartz Epimorph After Calcite Crystals Locality: Magaliesburg Mountains Gauteng Province, South Africa Size: 7.0 x 5.0 x 3.0 centimeters - Notes - This is an unusual one! this locality is usually known for cactus quartz, but this one is mostly just drusy quartz covering larger crystals. The interesting part is the presence of quartz epimorph after calcite crystals! Perfect, sparkly shells of drusy quartz form the general shape of the calcite crystals that originally grew there, then dissolved and became quartz epimorphs. This is a great piece for students and people who can appreciate the weirder concepts of mineralogy! No damage! Questions? Contact us: Scepterguy Shipping rate will be $3.95 within the USA.
