Rare SIGNED Quezal Pulled Feather Nouveau Adjustable Brass Double Desk Lamp and Shades In mint condition, this guaranteed genuine vintage SIGNED Quezal Pulled Feather Nouveau Brass Double Desk Lamp and Shades are exquisite examples of Nouveau work. The two exquisite signed early 20th Century shades have a wonderful green pulled feather design outlined in iridescent gold on a white ground. The inside is a lustrous gold with varying shades of violet, pinks, blues and greens. The original brass lamp is adjustable with a screw mechanism not only up and down but the arms also rotate in a 360 degree arc. The lamp has a wonderful warm patina and I have chosen NOT to clean it as I believe it looks better with the original patina, (buyer to decide). The inside base is weighted with a cast iron inset and is covered with very old felt. The cord is gold silk covered and t has been a later plug added to suit Australian houses. Both switches work BUT I recommend that it be shown to an electrician for 100% safety satisfaction. I have seen these shades individually sell on ebay for upwards of $500US. I am however starting the auction at a very fair price to give all interested parties an opportunity. Shades m easures approx. 13.5cm high x 11.3cm across base with a 5.5cm lip and opening of 4.0cm.
