Pink roses and blue ribbons embroidery on this vintage quilt. First photo shows center area; there is also an embroidered pillow motif of four roses and blue bow. Hand quilted at approx. 5 stitches per inch in diagonal rows and concentric circles. Thin cotton batting, pink backing which forms the binding. Binding is frayed at head end and partly down the sides; and quilting stitches and batting are missing from the first six inches at the head end. Quilt is clean and strong. Approx. 69 x 83 inches. Check out my other auctions--I will combine wins to save on shipping when you request a combined invoice. Nice quilt, hand quilted at 7 neat stitches per inch; thin cotton batting, orange backing, which forms the binding. The plates are hand applique in small neat stitches and also hand pieced. Has some small flaws--binding is beginning to fray; there are several small brown spots ( see photos 5 and 6 for examples); there is a one-inch tear near one edge which goes through the backing but which can be mended (see last photo). Quilt has been washed and is ready to use. Size: approx. 79 x 86 inches.
