Edwards earned his first Pro Stock victory at the 1996 Slick 50 Nationals in his first career final round. One highlight of his career was when he earned an emotional victory at the 1998 U.S. Nationals and he dedicated the win to his late team owner John Kight. Edwards drove this Pro Stock Pontiac during the 2005 NHRA season. That year, Edwards clocked his career-best time and speed and advanced to the semifinals in Columbus.
