's the loveliest Radiola Sr. receiver and Radiola AC amplifier you're likely to see anytime soon. Iâe(tm)ve had these beautiful RCA products for several years in my personal collection, and they are coming from a non-smoking household.Both pieces are in outstanding original condition, with brass base tipped tubes and nice, clean maghogany cabinets that are almost identical in tone. The original condition of the outer cabinets is excellent considering their vintage. Panels on both receiver and amp are nearly perfect, with no cracks, gouges, chips, etc. Both audio transformers on the amplifier are original, as is the wiring, and the original "C" bias battery is still in place. The radio has been tested and works well, but he brass base tipped tube that's included with the auction is a display tube and itâe(tm)s emissions aren't sufficient to power the radio. The amplifier's audio transformers each have an open winding, and they'll need to be RC bridged if you want to use the amp. The amp's brass base tipped tubes are both Westinghouse WD-11 Aeriotrons with their tags still in place; however, both tubes are for display only (open filaments). Cabinets have some minor dings and marks, but nothing distracting.
