An RAE Models white metal model of the MG Land Speed Record car EX181 driven by Phil Hill in 1959 to a speed of 254.91 mph. The model is hand built from an RAE kit and is finished in pale metallic green with a dark green base and appropriate logos and flags. Although RAE models were generally produced in 1:43 scale, this model seems slightly larger than 1:43 and measures 11.5 cms in length. The model is not mounted in an RAE display case but comes with the original kit box. The box is plain white and has “RAE EX181” hand written on one end. RAE models are now quite rare and their MG record car models are particularly hard to source The model is well built and is in mint condition. The kit box has some marks, scuffs and creases but is in good condition. Please see photographs before bidding and if you are in any doubt about the model please contact me. I am currently selling a large collection of MG and Land Speed Record models in all scales and materials. Please take time to look at my other items.
